In November, we have provided grants of £482 to help fund: a specific support grant for a Sussex family in need, a prize for Hassocks Primary School's Christmas raffle, QEII School's (Horsham) 'Glows' Event, rocks for Hassocks Brownies to decorate and hide, a Tates' Christmas tree for St Wilfrid's Primary (Burgess Hill) and a grant for plants and bulbs for Chailey School.

Eddie Nealon and Chris Eyre successfully completed their 500 mile walk in Spain, in aid of The Budding Foundation and for Ryan's new chair! They raised a huge £6300, HUGE thanks and congratulations to them! More info about their epic journey can be found here.

In September, we have provided grants over £666 to help fund: specific support grants for two Sussex families in need and for St Pauls Primary School (Brighton), also donating plants for gardening activities at Acorn Nursery (Portslade) and rocks for painting and hiding at a Hassocks community event.

In October, we provided grants over £1030 to help fund: a specific support grant for a Sussex family in need, a vegetable garden for Hambrook Autism School (Burgess Hill), a school gardening club at Petworth Primary School, a new battery for a defibrillator at Old Barn Garden Centre as well as funding families in Rural North Chichester to visit our Tates Santa's grottos!

In August, we have provided grants over £1090 to help fund: specific support grants for five Sussex families in need and also donated Herbs, Seeds & pebbles for activities at Family Fun Days at Kings Church (Burgess Hill) and a Tates voucher for a raffle in aid of Henfield Youth Club.

In July, we provided grants of £3323 to help fund: the West Sussex MIND charity Young People's Peer Support Worker service, sensory gardens at both St Marys' Primary School (Brighton) & Southway Junior School (Burgess Hill), specific support grants for four Sussex families in need and gardening projects at Arunside Primary (Horsham), Brackenbury Primary (Brighton) and Oak House, (Burgess Hill), a residential unit for young and older adults with mental health issues.

In June we provided grants over £1010 to fund essential support for a young person in need as well as donating plants, seeds, compost and even a wheelbarrow to support fundraising efforts at community Sussex summer fairs for: Hassocks Infant School, Southway Junior School (Burgess Hill), St Andrews Primary (Hove) Blackthorns Primary Academy (Haywards Heath) & Ditchling Open Gardens day.

In May, so far we have provided grants of over £4960 to fund: essential needs for four Sussex families as well as donating plants, gardening/planting supplies for SML College (Brighton), the outside therapy area for Worthing Hospital, Boundstone Nursery (Lancing), Honeybees Preschool (Plumpton), Upper Beeding Primary School, 10th Worthing Scouts Group, 31st Brighton (Westdene) Scouts Group, Northease Manor School (Lewes), Seaford Primary School, Cycall Adapted Cycling Group (Worthing) and Jolesfield Primary School (Partridge Green). We also made a grant to Off the Fence's School and Youth Program (Brighton), donated a Tates voucher for the Summer Fair at Holbrook Primary School (Horsham) and cream teas for a fundraising event in aid of Finches, a respite care centre for disabled young adults in Burgess Hill.

In April, we provided grants of over £1480 to fund: essential needs for three Sussex families, funded the development of the garden area at East Sussex County Council's Shinewater Family Hub as well as gardening/planting supplies for Penhill Playgroup (Lancing), Worthing charity Andy's Angels, Windmills Junior School (Hassocks) & Windmills Playgroup (Burgess Hill), 10th Haywards Heath Scouts, Southwater Infant Academy as well as funding a Plumpton College student project at Adur Bowls Club, a summer house for Annecy Primary (Seaford) and raffle prizes for Earth Day at West Hove Infants School.

On 7th April we had a lovely get together at Adastra Hall, Hassocks to thank 50 of our amazing volunteers who have helped us raise an incredible £417,000 for young people over the past ten years. THANK YOU all so much as well as our friends at Tates of Sussex Garden Centres who have made this possible.

Founder Clive facilitated two coach trips of Visitors (100+) in one week to The Museum of Gardening as well as showcasing the Museum at the Ardingly Spring Live! Show.

In March, we provided grants of almost £1000 to help fund essential household items for a local family in need, fill vegetable beds/patches for both Slindon School and Steyning Primary School, we have supported Billingshurst Primary School and Jolesfield Primary School's (Horsham) grounds update appeals and provided gardening equipment and seeds for West Hove Infants Saplings and wild garden Projects. Last month, we again co-funded The Kings Church Family Fun Sessions in Burgess Hill, run in the school holidays for families with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities. We have also supplied equipment for them to do planting and bird house painting activities.

In January, we provided grants over £1194 to: help fund essential household items for two local families in need and also funded lots of topsoil for planters for Burnside, a dynamic day-opportunity service providing support for people with a variety of care and support needs in Burgess Hill. The allotment group will grow a range of crops and produce that will be donated to local churches and food banks – and also be used within their cooking sessions. We have also provided a grant for many garden tools for alternative education provider Develop Outdoors which supports young people in East Sussex & Brighton & Hove aged 11-18 years and provides creative activities and Forest Schools for groups of children aged 5 -14 years.
