About Us

We are a registered charity raising funds to help improve the lives of young people in Sussex, with the emphasis on those who have suffered social deprivation, trauma or disability. We only work directly with other charities, local authorities, schools and colleges to identify young people and families in need. In partnership with Tates Garden Centres, we also support local school and community gardening projects.

Our focal point for fundraising is our Museum of Gardening at South Downs Nurseries, Hassocks. Our main source of funding comes from two Christmas Santa's Grottos which are operated by Tates Garden Centres, who then kindly donate all profits to the charity. These Grottos are at South Downs Nurseries, Hassocks and Old Barn Garden Centre, Dial Post).

 

Our Founder (with the help of lovely volunteers) also organises and attends events, gives group talks about our Museum of Gardening and refurbishes and sells donated items.
