Dear Clive,
We just wanted to get in touch to say a big thank you to The Budding Foundation and Tates for your support, awarding Heads On a very kind grant of £75 to use for the Aldrington Centre gardening project. Everyone from the Aldrington Centre team and all the Service Users were so overwhelmed to have received your gift, so they can move forward with their project. The aim of the garden project is to create a haven of tranquillity for the young people using the services and also get them involved in the gardening project itself, as an activity that can help build their confidence and generally help their wellbeing. The space will provide a place where the young people can retreat to when therapy gets difficult, to just take a break or for a nice distraction from the difficult processes they are working through in their therapy sessions. The space is located at the centre of the building and is overlooked by clinical or family therapy rooms. Therefore, the garden will also help to make each of these rooms feel less clinical and help them generally feel more relaxed. As you can see, your wonderful gift will really help make a difference to the young people who are using our services, so thank you so much again.
