We are pleased to have contributed £2300 towards Harley’s new specialist wheelchair. Harley who suffers from cerebral palsy was delighted when the wheelchair arrived the day before his 13th birthday.
Harley's mum approached the charity in March 2017 after visiting the museum & learning about our work, Harley aged 10 suffered with Cerebral Palsy required a new specially adapted wheelchair costing £4700, after NHS funding BF agreed to cover the shortfall of £2300.
Harley required major hip surgery & therefore wheelchair put on hold for 18 months whilst this took place.
The wheelchair arrived 29th Aug 2018 just in time for Harley’s 13th birthday, the following day!!
Harley's mum said it was the best present they could have ever wished for.
