Museum of Gardening

Our Museum of Gardening is housed within the South Downs Heritage Centre, Brighton Road, Hassocks, West Sussex, BN6 9LY.

Opened in March 2016, with formal opening in July 2016 by Jim Buttress.

The museum is open from 9.00-17.30 Mon to Sat, 10.30-16.30 Sun.

There is no charge for entry.

The museum contains a rare collection of Lawn Mowers, together with the story of its development, plus many other old and interesting gardening tools.

Included within the museum are informative displays on Sussex Trug Making, Local brick/tile manufacture, plus beekeeping with an active beehive.
